The ITO EN Transmuter is a Portal Mod that bears the name of ITO EN which reflects its sponsored item status. This item is the first Portal Mod to exist in variants which serve different functions.
ITO EN Transmuter (+)[]
This Mod transmutes hacked Items into defensive or instructional XM objects such as Resonators 
or Portal Shields 
.
When used, the "Acquired Items" (and "Bonus items" if an Agent Glyph Hacked a Portal) textbox will show ITO EN Transmuter (+) applied. Hacked offensive items like XMP Bursters 
and Ultra Strikes 
will be completely transmuted into defensive Items like Resonators or Portal Shields . This effect will always be valid unless the Mod is destroyed. These Items are in addition to the defensive Items normally obtained in a hack, resulting in up to double Portal Shields .
ITO EN Transmuter (-)[]
This Mod transmutes hacked Items into offense oriented Items such as XMP Bursters .
When used, the "Acquired Items" (and "Bonus items" if an Agent Glyph Hacked a Portal) textbox will show ITO EN Transmuter (-) applied. Hacked defensive Items like Resonators or Portal Shields will be completely transmuted into offensive Items like XMP Bursters and Ultra Strikes . This effect will always be valid unless the Mod is destroyed. Transmuted Items are in addition to the offensive Items already hacked.
